Current Thunderstorm Watch public service and staged Pro foundation availability, with official fallback links.

This page is an honest availability summary, not a substitute for independent observability or official weather alerts.

## Public website

If this page loaded, Cloudflare edge delivery for this request is responding. The [homepage checker](/) reports its own live NWS freshness and error state rather than relying on a static green badge.

## Official weather data

The national panel and every ZIP result show whether fresh canonical National Weather Service data was verified. A stale or failed response is shown as unknown and never translated into “no active watch.” Check [weather.gov](https://www.weather.gov/) directly whenever the tool cannot verify current data.

## Orientation map

IEM geometry, Leaflet, and OpenStreetMap tiles are optional progressive enhancement. A map outage does not change the NWS text result. The homepage visibly reports when orientation geometry is unavailable or withheld.

## Pro monitoring service

**Phase 2 monitoring deployed; checkout still disabled.** D1 account storage, scanner-safe passwordless confirmation, protected noindex app routes, strict Stripe webhooks, the hosted billing portal, account export/deletion, saved-location controls, and Cloudflare transactional email are configured. The dedicated `thunderstormwatch-monitor` Worker targets a two-minute cron, uses one canonical national NWS watch feed per poll, and reports bounded poll/snapshot/delivery health through `/api/health`.

A location is active monitoring only when the app reports it enabled with a fresh official check. Monitor health is healthy through five minutes, degraded after five through fifteen minutes, and unavailable after fifteen minutes or without a successful check. Watch/clear assertions are hidden as unknown after five minutes. Email delivery and exact cron timing are not guaranteed. Production checkout remains explicitly disabled during the legal/support launch gate.

## Independent status monitoring

No separate public status provider is configured yet. The bounded live product states on the homepage, the non-PII [`/api/health`](/api/health) component response, direct weather API responses, Cloudflare deployment health, and minimized operational records are the current signals. Additional monitoring is required before paid alerts launch.
